Cardano’s Lace Wallet to Add XRP Support, Confirms Charles Hoskinson
Cardano’s Lace Wallet is set to support XRP, enabling secure storage and transfers, while XRP holders become eligible for the upcoming Midnight token airdrop, boosting cross-chain interoperability.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has officially confirmed that XRP will soon be available on Lace Wallet, allowing users to securely store, send, and receive the popular cryptocurrency.
XRP Integration Coming to Lace Wallet
During a surprise YouTube AMA session that lasted over three hours, Hoskinson shared exciting updates about Cardano’s multi-chain ambitions. He revealed that Input Output Global (IOG) Cardano’s technology division is actively working on integrating XRP into its Lace Wallet, enhancing the wallet’s cross-chain functionality.
When asked about the current status of talks with Ripple, the company behind XRP, Hoskinson responded positively:
“Things are moving well,” he said, hinting that any previous tensions between the two companies have been resolved.
What This Means for XRP Users
Once the integration is complete, users will be able to store, send, and receive XRP within the Lace Wallet, similar to how they currently manage ADA and Bitcoin. This move is part of Lace's broader mission to become a universal multi-chain wallet for the Web3 era.
Initially launched on the Cardano mainnet in April 2023, Lace started as a Cardano-only wallet. However, it has since evolved, adding support for Bitcoin and now preparing to include XRP among its supported digital assets.
Although no official launch date was provided, Hoskinson confirmed the XRP integration is already in progress.
“This is just the beginning,” said Brandon Wolf, General Manager of Lace. He emphasized that Lace aims to become a comprehensive wallet that connects users to all major blockchains in one place.
XRP Users Included in Midnight Token Airdrop
In addition to the XRP integration news, Hoskinson revealed another major update: XRP holders will be eligible for the upcoming Midnight token airdrop.
Midnight is Cardano’s upcoming privacy-centric blockchain, designed to power secure and decentralized applications. The network will use two native tokens:
- NIGHT for governance
- DUST for private transactions
The NIGHT token airdrop will target over 37 million users across eight major blockchains, including:
- Bitcoin
- Ethereum
- Cardano
- Solana
- Polygon
- Binance Smart Chain
- Avalanche
- XRP Ledger
Hoskinson reassured XRP holders that they will definitely be included in the airdrop plans, marking another step toward stronger cross-chain collaboration in the crypto space.
With XRP integration, Midnight airdrops, and a clear focus on interoperability, the Lace Wallet is quickly positioning itself as a next-gen solution for users who want to manage multiple assets in a single, secure interface. As Cardano continues to build bridges across blockchains, XRP users have a lot to look forward to.
